ZYCOUGH-AM SYRUP belongs to a class of cough and cold preparations primarily used to treat cough. Additionally, it is also used to treat allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, throat irritation, or watery eyes.

Coughing (dry or productive) is a body’s way of clearing irritants (like allergens, mucus, or smoke) from airways and preventing infection.

There are two types of coughs, namely: Dry cough and chesty cough. A dry cough is tickly and doesn't produce any vicious or thick mucus, while a chesty cough (wet cough) means mucous or sputum is produced to help clear the airways.

ZYCOUGH-AM SYRUP contains AMBROXOL HYDROCHLORIDE + GUAIFENSIN + PHENYLEPHRINE HYDROCHLORIDE + CHLORPHENIRAMINE MALEATE + MENTHOL.

AMBROXOL works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose.

GUAIFENSIN is an expectorant. It helps loosen congestion in your chest and throat, making it easier to cough out through your mouth.

PHENYLEPHRINE works by contracting and narrowing the blood vessels. Thereby, providing relief from congestion and decreasing mucus production.

CHLORPHENIRAMINE MALEATE works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions.

MENTHOL produces a cooling sensation and provides relief from minor throat irritation.

Direction for use

• Check the label for directions before using ZYCOUGH-AM SYRUP.
• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Take ZYCOUGH-AM SYRUP as prescribed by your doctor with the help of a measuring cup provided with the pack.
